TITLE: STUDENTS AND CLUBBING

1.0: Introduction
1.1.1: Background
This paper work describe about students and clubbing. Clubbing is becoming worse among National University of Malaysia (UKM) students. Now, clubbing is very serious and critical problem in UKM. The most popular nightclub are Aloha Club at Jalan Pramlee, Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur, Cotton Club and others. Student always going to a night club on weekends.

1.1.2: Definition
Student is a person who studies a particular academic subject. The other definition of student is “ A person following a course study in school, college, or university”, ( The Free Dictionary Online). It’s mean students are normally referred to someone or somebody which is learning or studying in school or institutions include goverment or private and so on.
Clubbing is normally referred to a club appearance that appears to the end of fingers. This is normally caused from poor cicculation which can be caused fom many sources, but the most frequent one is from smoking. A nightclub is a drinking, dancing ad entertainment venue which does it primary business after dark. People who frequent nightclubs are known as clubber. Music and dance floor are big draws of a nightclub.

1.2: Research Objectives
The Marketing Research Objectives have say the definition of the research objectives is “ the aims or purpose of a research study; objectives are often an expressed as hypotheses to be tested”.


1.2.1: To find out the reasons why UKM students like clubbing.
My group want to know and try to find out the reason why UKM students like clubbing. My group have get many information about the causes students like clubbing. There are many reasons why UKM students like clubbing such as peer influences, culture shock, family problems, lack up-bringing in religion, release tension and others.

1.2.2: To find out the effects of clubbing among UKM students.
The purpose this paper work also to find out the implications of clubbing among UKM students. This paper work will be describe about the effects of clubbing to individual, family, community, university and country.

1.2.3: To find out overcome of clubbing among students.
Besides that, the aim this paper work is to find out overcome of clubbing among UKM students. As we know, this problem is very serious and critical among students. So, we want to know the best solution to overcome of clubbing among students.

1.3: Research Questions

2.0 causes
2.11 peer influence
Peer-influence are children's group or youth which is same age or same development level ( Erikson, 1993 ). Peer-influence also mean individual as a youth started aged adult and people within 12 years old to 21 years old (Ensyclopedia Dictinoray, 1997 ). For information, peer-influence plays their important role in friendship relationship. It also can destroy someone individual if wrong in choose a friend. That’s why teenagers in nowdays were related on getting involved in social problems because of peer-influences. Customary, youth is more believe what their friends said compare with what their family said. For example, clubbing among IPT students, peer-influence is a dangerous factor contribute to this problem. This is because, free association between them in college very closely each other. Sometimes they sharing everything among them in various of topic. In conclusion, they always together in whatever they do. So, if they meet friends like to socialize it can’t be deny if they influenced with their friend attitude.

2.1.2 Family problems
According anthropology definition, family is a group which comprises from those members have family ties. So, whatever things happened in this family capable to influence their family members. Normally, family problems can cause depression for their children especially who is still youth. This problem can make this stress children act out of family control. For example, if their parents often fight, their children will feel bored and depression so that they hang out to fine the best place that can blank their mind think about this. That’s why they go clubbing to night club to forget this problem for a while. In separate family cases, the children will feel as if lack of love. Sometimes, they be a troublemakers to striking their parents care about them. If they do not do that, they feel far from family care. Then, in rich family also happened family problems. When their parents busy with their work and career until forget will need for love to children. They just know give a a lot of money to their child. If their children bored alone in house, they hangout with their friend to have a fun party in night club.

2.1.3 Lack of up-bringing in religion
Religion play inside important role determine someone's morals. Every race in Malaysia have trust each respective religion. Apart from that, if no their religion they shall be lost. Up-bringing religion very important to anyone individual. This up-bringing should be teach since their child young atleast 5 years old.. Beside that, religion can guide a person distinguish between good and bad matter. In clubbing among students context, even if they always look at their friends visit night club every night they will not be influenced. Enough religious education distance a person of deflected and get involved in negative area. Sometimes, they capable advised their friend that their act is immoral as one student. This is because, lack of up-bringing in religion would result student influenced with negative phenomenon.

2.1.4 Culture shock
Culture shock is a one of the factor contributor for this problem. It normally happened to students from village which is come to city. When they were here, they will find something new likes new cituation, new place, new friend and everything. Furthermore, culture shock also capable in changing someone lifestyle. If they were influenced in bad things, it will encourage students in doing the things that they should not do that. For an example, a lot of students influenced by culture shock. When their friend carry them to night club they see a new situation that never seen it before. Thus, once they go they wanna go again and again.

2.1.5 Media roles
Media is a one of the communication process. Media devided into print media and electronic media. Print media includes newspaper, magazine and so on while electronic media includes television, radio, internet and so on. Media also influenced student lifestyle now. All kinds entertainment programmes have shown a mixture between women and men. This will be able influence youth group especially inside students life. They will easy to follow with lifestyle displayed. Many cultures from West also through on media. Beside that, scene embrace, exchange kisses and part of the body exposure in fact have become special menu each television programme. When releases as such is viewed by children increase youth thus it could cause they many imagine and arise very high curious sense .This is which resulted more youngsters to be trying do this things. In clubbing cases among Higher Learning Students, when they go to night club, they do not will miss from doing the matter. That why social problems become so worse from day in day. Media should change their writing to curb students from involved in negative area.

2.1.6 Sense of curious
This factor also can contribute for clubbing among students. Sense of curiousity capable to make student do a thing opposite with communities value and religion. It can happen because of they watch a lot of negative scenes on television or internet. Thus, once they see then arise a curious sense to make it same as on television. For example, if teenagers or students see a clubbing scene on television they will have some curious to try something new like that. So, they go to night club to see that scene as a real. Beside that, when they saw their friends went out to have fun with clubbing they also craved to follow their friend. They want to know why it’s really enjoy until a lot of peole visit a night club every night. They think with clubbing, it can changing their personality and make different style with others because of felt they follow turn of wheel.

2.1.7 release tension
Release tension also can cause clubbing among students. As a student, they have their responsibility to study hard for their future. But, if they weak in facing a challenge of study, they will facing a stress and depression. Customary, students have a lot of task and assignment to complete before final exam. They have to do this for their marks to pass the paper that they take. Sometimes, they give a reason a lot of work can make them tension. So, they hang out to night club ta have saome fun and clubbing till midnight. They also said that it can make them far away from thinking about their work for a while. In some cases, in exam season also have some of student go to party in night club. This is because, they want release their tension about the test maybe it’s really hard for them. Thus, they also skip a college activity or program to hang out for party with their friends.
